If you’re here, it’s because you need some tips on how to batch shoot content in an effective way. Batch shooting is a term, where you create mass content in a day. This will help alleviate all of the stress when it comes to creating content for your social media and website. I know for me my biggest issue was staying consistent. This was because I wasn’t planning out my content and shooting it ahead of time. Doing a batch shoot will help you stay consistent on all platforms. Which is what’s needed if you want to grow effectively and have an engaging audience.
Pick The Right Photographer
When shooting content, you want to make sure that the photographer works with your aesthetics. Now this means, that the photos matches your brand. The photographer I work with, makes sure that when she edits my pictures the color edit matches the theme for my Instagram. This will help you feed look cohesive all together. Another key thing to think about, is making sure that they understand your vision. Having a photographer who understands the look you are going for is “key”. This helps your pictures stand out more; which can help you attract more brands. Also, I know getting a photographer can be expensive, so you can always find a close friend or family member to take your pictures for you. If all else fails, grab a tripod and use your phone.
Plan Outfits
Every time I know I have a photoshoot coming up, I always plan out my outfits. This helps me stay organized, and keeps me from packing a bunch of different items that I won’t even use for the shoot. When planning my outfits, I usually get my inspiration from Pinterest. You also want to plan for at least 3 or 4 outfits when you shoot. Now this also depends on the amount of time you have scheduled for your shoot.
Plan out Location and Time
Having the perfect location is key to batch shoot content. You want to make sure; that when you choose a location that it has a bunch of different areas you can shoot at. This can go back to picking out the right photographer. In my case, my photographer knows a lot of great areas to shoot in that are within walking distance to each other. This gives you more time to switch out your outfits in between each shoot. When it comes to the time, I like to shoot in the morning as there isn’t a lot of people out at that time. So if you are more shy in front of the camera and don’t like people watching you; morning time is best. It also allows you to not worry about people bombarding your photos.
Bring Props
Always make sure to bring props during a batch shoot. Doing this can actually elevate your photo even more. Now these props can be jewelry, a hat, purse, or even a laptop. Bringing props can also help you with your posing, especially if you are awkward in front of the camera. You can always look through Pinterest for inspiration on the type of props you want to use. If you are shooting at home, try incorporating something for the background. You can add a plant, mirror, or etc. Just try to jazz it up a little bit to make your picture stand out more.
Plan Out Your content
Last but not least, you want to always make sure that you are planning your content prior before your shoot. This will help you better understand the direction you want to go for your batch shoot. If you have any sponsored content, make sure to incorporate that into your batch shoots. If there is a certain holiday coming up, you can also plan your content around that.
I hope these tips were helpful in your content creation. I can definitely say since I’ve been implementing these techniques, my content has gotten way better. I’m way more organized, and better prepared for the content being posted. Let me know down below if you batch shoot and what tips you may have.

One thing I do need to work on is bringing props! I always rely on Kai and Hubby and never bring any additional things to take photos with. Thanks for the reminder!
